UV DTF or apparel DTF?
They share a name, not a workflow. UV DTF decorates hard surfaces by hand; apparel DTF is heat-pressed onto fabric. Never use garment press instructions on a UV DTF sticker.

Application
Applying a UV DTF sticker
UV DTF never touches a heat press. Four steps by hand, on a clean, smooth hard surface.
Separate
Peel the sticker away from its backing sheet, keeping the clear top layer attached to the art.
Place
Line it up on a clean, dry surface. It will not shift once it touches down, so position before you press.
Press
Rub firmly from the center out with a squeegee or your thumb to push out any air.
Peel the top layer
Pull the clear carrier off slowly at a sharp angle. Wait 24 hours before washing.

What is UV DTF?
UV DTF is a physical adhesive transfer for smooth hard surfaces. The printed graphic moves off its carrier film onto the surface — no heat press, no weeding, and no digital file is delivered.
Is UV DTF the same as apparel DTF?
No. Apparel DTF is heat-pressed onto fabric. UV DTF is applied to hard surfaces by hand with firm pressure. Never use garment press instructions on a UV DTF sticker.
Do I need a heat press?
No. Clean the surface, position the sticker, rub it down firmly and peel the clear carrier off slowly.
What surfaces does it work on?
Smooth, clean, hard surfaces: glass, acrylic, smooth metal, coated tumblers and similar. Avoid fabric, textured or flexible surfaces, and test unusual coatings before a full run.
Can I use UV DTF on fabric?
No — fabric needs apparel DTF transfers. You'll find those on the DTF Transfers page.
Is it waterproof?
Yes — once applied and fully bonded, UV DTF is waterproof in normal use. Wait 24 hours before the first wash, and hand-wash decorated drinkware to keep it looking its best.
Can I apply it near a drinking rim?
Keep transfers away from drinking rims and direct food-contact areas. Decorate the outside of cups and tumblers, below the rim.
