Which transfer size fits which garment?

Every ready-to-press design comes in nine sizes. Width is the measurement that matters — height follows the artwork's proportions.

Ordering by size? Three steps to the right number.

Measure the print area

Lay the garment flat and measure the printable width where the design will sit — chest seam to chest seam is the usual reference.
Pick the width, not the height

Choose the transfer width that fits that area. Height scales automatically with your artwork's proportions.
When in doubt, size down

A slightly smaller print centered well looks intentional. An oversized print running into seams doesn't.

Common questions

What's the biggest transfer I can order?

Single transfers go up to 22" — the full width of our film. Beyond that, gang sheets run from 22"×24" up to 22"×240" (20 feet).

Do sleeve and pocket prints have standard sizes?

Sleeve prints typically run 2"-4" wide and pocket prints around 3"-4". Order those through Custom DTF by Size at the exact width you need.

Which size should I stock for resale?

The 10" and 11" adult sizes cover the bulk of adult tees. Shops running youth programs usually add 8" and 9".

Is the height of my transfer fixed?

No — height follows your artwork's aspect ratio at the width you choose. A square logo at 10" wide is 10" tall; a wide wordmark is much shorter.
